Sturcture Fire

10/26/2008 - Armor 2 responds to Hamburg Fire

Story: At 1515hrs on October 26th, 2008 the AVFC was alerted for a mutual aid call to the Hamburg Fire Department for a working structure fire at 257 Charlotte Ave. Armor 2, Armor 7 and Chief Schmid responded to assist Hamburg FD. A crew from Armor 2 went inside the structure to make an initial attack in the upstairs, where the fire started. However, the crews were unable to advance into the room where the fire began, making suppression difficult. Other crews were able to open up the roof and get a good attack on the fire, easing extinguishment. Once the fire was put out, Armor 7 crews assisted with overhaul of the structure. No Injuries were reported during the incident, and nobody was home at the time of the fire
